This year Panmure Bridge School is lucky enough to participate in the Summer Learning Journey from 2018-2019. This is an opportunity for the Manaiakalani cluster school to join. For the Summer Learning Journey we are given tasks to finish. The people who place 1st, 2nd, and 3rd from each school wins exclusive prizes. The prizes this year is amazing. I have completed most of the week 1 challenges, so I moved onto the week 2 challenges. The week 2 challenges is based on water, water, everywhere. For this task it was to find 2 different polluted rivers in New Zealand. Over the pass few years there have been a lot of polluting in New Zealand. I have chosen the Waikato River and the Selwyn River, which are both located in New Zealand.
Waikato River - Located in Waikato - It was messed with a group of rubbish and other objects, but they started cleaning it, by bringing a group of people to clean each area.
Hello Mele,
ReplyDeleteWow your reasons to say how the river is polluted is shocking. I wish that no rivers were polluted. Seeing this means our people need to start thinking of what would happen if we kept doing this!. Keep it up
Hi Mele,
ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity! It's a good thing that the Waikato river was cleaned but we still need to do something about the Selwyn river. What do you think are some ways to clean New Zealand's rivers?
Hi Mele,
ReplyDeleteHappy last SLJ day!
Do you know if people are having success cleaning those rivers? I hope so, I'd love to live in a country where we can swim anywhere
Tanks for all your hard work this summer!
