Summer Learning Journey Day 5 Bonus Activity Week Two

Today for this activity I had to find out my favorite sweet or dessert . I had to use google to find out a recipe for it. Rachel/Hazel favourite sweet was cup of tea with chocolate biscuits. To be honest I really love chocolate biscuits with tea too. All you need is milk,tea,boil water, cup,plate, and cookies to enjoy with.

Today for this activity I had to Compare the pictures of common clothing from the late 1940s to what we wear now (in 2017/2018). Are they similar or are they quite different? On your blog tell us which of the two styles you prefer and why. The pictures above were taken over 65 years ago! What do you think people will be wearing 65 years from now?

They are really different to each other. The kids wear a puffy dress and the boys wear shorts,tie, and jumper but the elders wear something different. I would rather prefer the kids one because it looks better on me.

Today for this acitvity I had to On your blog, tell us all about your (imaginary) VE party.

For my party I would invite all my best friends and my family and the food will be fruit salad ,pizza drinks, sushi, and more. I would also play music and buy a big pool. I would also do more activities like the apple challenge and the thumb challenge.

One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you… look behind and see fire exploding out of the tanks.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 Day 4 Week Two

Today for this activity I had to Choose one from the Second World War, and read about him. On your blog tell us about him. Who was he? What did he do to earn a Victoria Cross medal? I decided to pick a New Zealander winner.

Who was he?: William Hardman. He was the first New Zealander born servicemen to receive the VC.
What did he do to earn the VC Award?: He won this because his unit was ambushed, and he rode back to pick up a wounded soldier, helping him to get off the  under heavy fire. 

Summer Learning Journey Day 3 Bonus Activity Week Two

Today for this activity I had to write about what special gifts I would give to my family when I travel back. For this example Rachel/Hazel said that they would bring blocks of Whittaker’s chocolate, bags of Jet Planes and Pineapple Lumps, healthy food snacks, clothing, and games for the children.
I would take clothes,board games, and soft lollies like jet planes for the kids but big blocks of chocolate and wine for the adults.

1. We could all make Ideas to find out how to make
clothes and food for others and let people agree.
2. Make a box to put $10 in every week and then at the end of the year we can open it
up and see how much we got.
3. Every Christmas we should at least give gifts to the people who need it most.
Today for this activity I had to give 3 tips to find out how to donate food and clothes to those who need it most.

Today for this activity I had to write down what I like to do when I want to relax. I also had to write down the tips of relaxing. I really love to watch a movie when I relax because for my tip I always have water with me and I also just go on the big black chair and press the button to make it go forward so that I could relax me legs down and start listening to the movie.

Today for this activity I had to read about landing
safely in Christchurch. I had to imagine that I was
in the flight crew and write a poem about landing safely
in Christchurch after a long trip.Here is my poem I wrote.

As I hopped in the plan I felt so happy
flying up and down can't wait to see daddy.
I heard the overcome saying were nearly there
I was so happy about to fear.
Nearly landing hearing a lot of shouting
outside lot of people crowding.
Hopped out of the plane was happy to be landing.

Today for this activity I had to look closer at the painting and give it rate stars out of 5 stars. The ratings were- (1 star = terrible painting, 2 stars = pretty bad painting, 3 stars = okay painting, 4 stars = good painting and 5 stars = amazing painting). My answer would be 5 starts amazing painting because I like the features and paint also the face part of everything.

Today for this activity I had to watch either 2 of the videos. Gold Rush/The Lion's cage. It has no sound to it so that I don't need to know whats its about. On my blog I had to find out what this movie was about. I think this is about where people live their dreams and they find out what to do into the future times. I enjoyed this video because it stopped and at the same time it showed words to tell what it was doing.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 3 Bonus Activity Week Two

Today for task I had to go online and read a Flanders fields poem by John Mccre. I had to read and then retell what I thought about the poem. Do I like it? ,and How does it make me feel? Here is my answer:

What I think about the poem: I think this poem is good because it rhymes at the end of each 2 sentences. It also has paragraphs to show each story it happened at.

Do I like it?: I do like it because it shows I love the words and phrases this person has added in and I even love the font of it.

How does it make me feel?: It makes me feel very sad because all of the solders who has been fighting for their own countries.

Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 Week Two

Today for this activity I had to read about the suffrage movement in New Zealand. New Zealand was the first country to let women have the rights to vote. There were still countries around the world like Saudi Arabia that were not allowed to vote. I think that Saudi Arabia women should be allowed because since New Zealand women has the rights to vote every countries should stand up for themselves and tell the men why they should have the rights to vote. This is not fair because why does New Zealand get to have the rights to vote not other countries.
