Metal work with Mr Naicker

Today LS2 completed their first session of Tech at Tamaki College for Term 2.  It was great to be back at tech finishing off our designs. The year 7's continued with Mr Grundy by finalising their designs, the year 8A continued with Ms Fergsuon by painting their clocks, while the year 8B are with Mr Naicker and are currently filing their pizza cutter/cake server. I am with Mr Naicker. Most people are still filing their designs, while some are filing their pizza cutter, or cake server, which means that their handles are already done. At the moment I am filing the pizza cutter of my design. I was previously using sandpaper to make the handle of my pizza cutter more smooth.

Tech

Today LS2 went through another week of Tech at Tamaki College. The year 7's are with Mr Grundy, the year 8A are with Ms Fergsuon, while the year 8B are with Mr Naicker. For tech most people continued on, by fileing the edges of their handles. Jack, Te Pounamu, and I were fileing the blade of our pizza cutters. Previously I had been using 2 types of sandpapers to make the edges of my handle smooth and flat. To make it better I polished it when finishing using the sandpaper.

Tech

Today was another session of tech. Our tech teacher was Mr Naicker. For tech we continued, by filing down the edges. Jack and I started sandpapering our handles to make it feel nice and smooth. I am currently using 2 types of sandpapers to make the edges of my hand base smooth. I have chosen to make a cake cutter, which will be a great thing to make. I have finished making the top of my handle smooth, but I need to work on making the sides of it nice. The year 7's are with Mr Grundy, while the Year 8A is with Ms Ferguson.

Tech with Mr Naicker

Today was another session of Tech at Tamaki College. Our tech teacher is Mr Naicker. This term Year 8 B is doing metal working, by completing a cake server or a pizza cutter. I decided to make a cake server. Today some students were gluing their projects together, while others were filing theirs to make it smooth. We started off by creating the handles of either our pizza cutter/cake server. The handle is suppose to be smooth and soft. We filed the sides of the handle and the top of the handle. The year 7's are with Mr Grundy doing wood work, while the year 8 A is creating clocks with Ms Ferguson.
