Today for this activity I had to read about landing
safely in Christchurch. I had to imagine that I was
in the flight crew and write a poem about landing safely
in Christchurch after a long trip. Here is my poem I wrote.
As I hopped in the plan I felt so happy
flying up and down can't wait to see daddy.
I heard the overcome saying were nearly there
I was so happy about to fear.
Nearly landing hearing a lot of shouting
outside lot of people crowding.
Hopped out of the plane was happy to be landing.
Hi Mele
ReplyDeleteIts Allie here again from the SLJ.
I really liked reading your poem that you have written about your flight over the Tasman sea.
It's hard to imagine what it would have been like in 1928 flying in a small plane. The journey back then took 14 hours to make whereas now it only takes about 3 hours.
You describe your excitement well in you poem and that you are happy to be making the journey.
I wonder why so many people in the picture above are waiting for the plane? Maybe this is the first flight!
Well done Mele, keep up the great work.
Until next time
Allie :)
Hey Mele
ReplyDeleteWell done on completing this summer learning journey activity. The poem that you have composed is great. I like how you made it pretty long. Keep up the amazing work Mele!

Hi Mele
ReplyDeleteGreat job on completing this activity, I like how you added in how you would feel too. I have a question though, how do you think your family felt when they heard about your plane trip?
