Summer Learning Journey - Day 4 - Activity 3 - Week 4

On your blog, tell us what you think about the government’s decision to restrict the number of tourists able to visit this special site. Is it fair? Be sure to tell us why you feel the way that you do. I think that that this isn't fair, because tourists had just wasted their time taking a long walk to reach something that they really want to take a photo of and why would they do this when a tourist is doing what they're suppose to be doing.

  1. Hi Mele,
I think you are true. Tourist mightof came from somewhere far and coming to the special site knowning that theres a restricted number of tourist allowed in just isn't right. Anyways keep it up!.

  2. Hi Mele,
I disagree with you because I'm sure that tourists and locals would rather still have a non-damaged site instead of not being able to see it. Think about it this way; if you had say, a precious doll would you let other people play with it if they always damaged it?

  3. Hi Mele,
I agree with you because people want to take a tour and have the time to explore the time on that mountain. Unforatanly someone had to ruin it.

What was the best thing during this Activity?

  4. Hi Mele,

I like your attitude to this! Tourists will do what tourists do, right? I guess the thing is what happens if the tourists destroy such a beautiful area, and then there is nothing left for the tourists to see.

Is there anywhere in New Zealand that you think is getting damaged?

    Awesome work Mele!

  5. Hello Mele,
I am Vitaraag. You have put so much effort into this blog post. I am really looking forward to reading more of your blog posts. I think that you are right but also wrong because the number of people has lowered so you can still go there but you have a lower chance of going there. Maybe next time you can say what would of happened if the government hadn't of made this rule. Do you want to keep Machu Picchu alive forever? Keep up the phenomenal work!
