Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 Day 4 Week Four

This is what I had to do for this task:

Watch this short clip from Country Calendar. What do you think would be the most interesting and/or challenging things about being a farmer? Would you would like to be a farmer when you are older. Why/why not? Give us, at least, two reasons to support your answer. Here is my answer: It would be interesting to look after animals and get to know their habbits and hobbie too. But the most challenging thing is doing a lot of paper work. My 3 reasons for me not wanting to become a farmer is because 1 I already know what I wanna be when I grow up 2 it's going to be really hard driving everywhere even walking everywhere and 3 feeding lots of animals at the same time. I really love farming but I already have my dream job. My family use to go to the farm and do the onions.

Summer Learning Journey Bonus Activity Day 1 Week Four

Although most of you are quite familiar with the idea of taking a ‘selfie’ (picture of ourselves), this was not always the case. In fact, it wasn’t until the early 2000s that people started talking about the idea of a selfie, taking selfies and posting them online. In honour of the rise in popularity of the ‘selfie,’ take a selfie and post it on your blog. Try to show us at least one of your hobbies or one your favourite things (maybe a special toy or book). For example, here is a selfie of Hazel drinking a big mug of tea, and Rachel with her son, Aronui, attending a Paw Patrol show!

Summer Learning Journey Activity 2 Day 1 Week Four

Arguably one of the most famous movie trilogies of all time, The Lord of the Rings, was filmed in New Zealand. All three movies were directed by a New Zealander named Peter Jackson. The first movie was released in 2001, the second in 2002 and the third in 2003. The movies cost an estimated $300 million to produce!  Imagine that instead of spending the money on the movies, Peter Jackson decided to give all of this money to you. Lucky you! On your blog, tell us what you would do with $300 million dollars. How would you spend it? It is a lot of money so please think carefully about it and spend it wisely.

Here is my answer: If Peter Jackson gave me all of his money I would buy new furniture and new clothes because if you buy clothes and furniture you can last it forever but the movies last long for 1 day.

One of the most famous children’s stories to ever come out of New Zealand, Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy, was written by a kiwi woman named Lynley Dodd. The book was originally published in 1983. It is now sold in dozens of countries around the world. It features a small dog named Hairy.

On your blog, use the following sentence starter from the original book to finish the story.

To earn full points, your story should have, at least, 8-10 sentences.

“Out of the gate and off for a walk went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy…  and and Hercules Morse as big as a horse, with Hairy Maclary from Donald's Dairy. Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Bonus Activity Week Two

One day you are walking along the deck of the ship when you hear a loud bang. You start to run as you see smoke coming from the far end of the ship. You run towards the room where your patients are waiting to receive treatment from the doctor. Just as you arrive at the door to their room you hear another loud bang and you… look behind and see fire exploding out of the tanks.
Today for this activity I had to Complete the story provided above. To earn full points you must write, at least, 8-10 sentences. What happens next? I decided to add the image in so that people know what im writing about.

Photography Exhibition

Today for my bonus activity I never gave up even though it was my bed time. For this activity I had to pick one of the exhibitions and write 5 exhibitions about it. I decided to do a photography one because it was a easier one for me to do and write down at the same time.

Vocaroo-PBS Blogging-Day 4

Today for this task I had to record myself noting when is the Parade at Auckland Mesuem held and why it's held for. This was my 2nd activity for day 4. I decided to use a different app called voice recorder on a phone.

PBS Blogging- Day 4- Activity 1- Mesuem

Fact 1-The Turkish waved a white flag. They decided to free clean the body's of theirs. I find this interesting because it feels like when you wave a white flag it makes people know what to do.

Fact 2- When ANAZC people were leaving they had to add sandbags to their shoes so that when they do anything there wouldn't be any noise. I found this really interesting because if you walk then it will make no noise. For example my point of view is that if I was trying to sneak out then I would use the sandbag to put it in my shoes.

Fact-3. Austro Hungary a empire defensed war on Serbia and also got supported by the Germans, then the Russians declared war on Austro Hungary and got supported by the country France. After all that had happen  the British and all countries were included  making it a world war. I find this interest because it started from one war and then it became to grow bigger and bigger with all of the other different countries joining.

Today for day 4 I did my first activity. For this activity I had to visit the Museum Website and find out 3 fast facts. It helped me by watching and listening to different videos about the world war. After writing down our facts I had to write down why I found these facts interesting. As you can see that I picked these facts because they were easier for me to list down while listening.
