Sculpture

Today for inquiry we had to do a other must do for the inquiry column.we had to draw and sculpture our plane that we researched about. After I finished drawing the De Havilland Dh 60 Moth I had to research about the different parts of the plane. I learnt a lot about my plane but next time it would be better if we could learn more about migration.

De Havilland Dh 60 Moth Gipsy Moth

De Havilland Dh 60 Moth
Introduction:
A De Havilland is a plane but what type of plane is it? This type of plane was a Gipsy Moth. It was a aircraft but, back in
the days it only had 2 seat per gipsy moth.
Colours:
For A Gipsy Moth plane there can be different types of colors such as grey. I think the most popular color for a gipsy moth would be grey.
Parts/Shapes
There are not that much shapes in a Gipsy Moth. The body looks like a shaped cylinder. Gipsy Moths can has the same body shape.
Engine Type:
The Gipsy Moth has a engine type which is called a reciprocating. It has labels to but it flies with parts. The reciprocating is only helped to be part of a De Havilland plane- Gipsy  Moth.
Conclusion
And remember Jean Batten was one of the New Zealand international aviatrix around the world. Jean Batten is one of them that flyed the Gipsy Moth. There were million types of Gipsy Moths around the world.

Today for writing Mr Wong's writing groups had to write a information report on their own migrating topic. I chose to write about a De Havilland Dh 60 Moth Gipsy Moth plane. This week we also had to use our plan to write our information report. My goal point was to use my plan to write my information report. I enjoyed searching, skimming and scanning for key words on other useful websites.

Free rice

Today for the other column I played free rice as I said to donate more grains of rice. This time I got the same score as last time.

Nim

Today for the any can do column I played nim level 1 but next time I would try to play level 3 which is harder. I claimed my trophy.

Blog Commenting

Today I have been visiting one of my class mates blogs to comment on. Today I commented on Jeremiah's blog commenting post and told him when he should be blogging. I think you guys should start blog commenting.

Boys and Girls

This whole term we have been focusing on measuring but right now we have to make graphs of people accuracy of throwing. But today we got to make any kind of graph but first we had to focus on making the boy and girls graph first. As you can see there are some mistakes between some girls and boys.

Connections

LI: To scan for key information
LI: to skim text for general ideas.

Today for reading Mr Wong's reading groups had to gather together as a whole group and make connections between Jean Yeager and our main 4 aviators. For Topic 1 we got to pick any kind of aviator that we haven't learnt about.

Today for my other I played nim level 2. I won my game of min.Now I clocked all the levels.

Free rice

Today for my can do I had a go at playing free rice because I needed help on meaning of the words. My donation score was a total of 110 grains of rice.

Plan writing

Today I had to do another work about my topic- De Havilland DH 60 Moth. I had to plan my writing about it. I had to write a information report. I had to plan before writing so that we know what to do.

Measuring

Today for Mr Wong's maths group we had o put all of our scores on the same spread sheet. when we finished testing everybody we had to make a graph on it. The most accuracy throwers were the students that scored 0. But if other students scored lower than 5 that would still be a good score.we had to test Mr Ogilvie's group at the same time. After we had finished testing them we had to record it on a google form which included their name,yr group, gender, and how close was their throw.

Accuracy of throwing

Screenshot 2016-12-07 at 9.22.49 AM.png

On the graph it shows you how accuracy LS1 is at throwing a bean bag ( ball) in a bucket. You only get three chances per turn. The accuracy of throwing for the year 6’s were Savelina and Chris. And the accuracy thrower of the year 5’s were Angela and Jack. One of the simple instructions was not allowing to throw over arm. Altogether the year 5’s won the accuracy of throwing.

Since Mr wong came back we had to make a graph on our groups accuracy of throwing. Once we finished throwing our bean bag into the bucket we had to make a application on the best accuracy of throwing.

Kenken

Today since I finished my must do's Mr Ashurst gave me a website game to figure out. It was a bit tricky cause the numberwe only got to use was 1,2, and 3. If you have 2 same numbers on a row/column then you have to change it to a number you haven't used.
