These are some very creative ideas, Mele! I'm sure that putting a jar at the check out of the local Pak 'n Save would encourage people to donate money to support our athletes. Good thinking!
I also like your idea of people doing neighbouhood chores to raise funds for our athletes. Have you ever been asked to help raise funds for a cause before?
That's great to hear, Mele. What was the cause that you helped to raise the funds for? I personally participate in the 40 hour famine to raise funds for World Vision and my sister likes to run in a 24 hour walk/run marathon to raise money for breast cancer research. We're quite lucky to be able to help out, even in small ways, aren't we?
Hi Mele Those are great ideas of making some money for the para-Olympic people. If you put jars at supermarkets to fund raise money we could earn a lot for the para-Olympic people. Even if it is a little bit, we are still helping out our fellow kiwis. Daniel
