The scientific name for Lions is Panthera Leo. Lions are a type of Big cat. Males grow up to 1.2 m and Females grow up to 1.1 m. At night time they work together to defend territory and hunt.

Panthera Lion look different from other species of lions.
Panthera Lions have big whiskers on their face. Lions also have a brown skin and body. Lions have big ears.

Lions are the second largest cats in the world ( Behind tigers).

Lion's mostly eat there predators.They mostly eat big preys but sometimes they eat smaller preys.
Lions mostly hunt in night for food. Their Preys is what they mostly eat. But sometimes they smaller Preys such as tortoises,hares,birds,mice.

Lions nearly lives in every continent but most of them don’t live in the Asia continent.
Wild lions mostly live in Sub Saharan African. Their is a small population of Asia lions that Lives in Gir Forest in India.

  • Male lions defend the pride's territory while females go hunting for food. When the Females come back with the food Males is the first ones to eat.
  • A lion’s roar can still be heard from as far as 5 miles away.
  • A lion can sleep up to nearly 20 hours a day.



CONCLUSION:
  • A sentence that ends your report with one of your most interesting facts
African lions are the most social of all big cats and live together in groups or “prides.” A pride consists of about 15 lions only.



Today in Ls1 we got to make any topic information report. I chose a lion cause it is my 2nd favourite animal. I talked about Panthera Leo lions.

Today we are learning to Write fractions using Numerals. We had to write any fraction up to 10. The interesting thing I have learnt is that The actual name for a fraction is: For example if I was saying 1/6 I would say one Bar 6.
