My Recount About My Weekend

“Yum” I said to myself. On Saturday my family had a big BBQ at home. It felt like I was going to explore in the air. As my dad brought the BBQ stove to cook the meat inside it. I felt so happy that we were going to have a yum BBQ with my whole family. When I saw the food on the plate my dad said ‘’kids come and eat” so I went to eat a piece of meat. As I took a bite of my meat my tongue was burning. When I grabbed a sausage from the plate It was so hot so I kept on blowing my sausage so that it could get warmer for me to eat. When I ate my sausage it felt more better than me getting a burning tongue. When I finished eating I went to play with my brothers. When me and my brothers played kicks they wouldn't let me play with them so I felt sad and played with my little brother which was more quiet and kind. When me and my little brother played kicks it was so fun. As I played kicks with my brother it felt like he was more kinder to me than my other brothers.When we finished playing we went inside and got a snack to eat. As I finished eating I went to my room and relaxed. When I relaxed I said “it” was a nice summer day today to have a ‘’BBQ’’. Also I said thank you to my parent for planning a BBQ to have on a nice summer day. It was so fun and exciting!!

This is my Writing about what I did in the weekend. I had to include when, Where, Why,Who,What and how in my recount. Also I had to say what I did. In my recount I had to use an hook at the beginning of my story.

Recount Writing Structure

Today we have been learning about what is a recount. A recount is when you retell and describe past events. Also we use an orientation which includes: Where, When, What, Why, Who and how. Also I learnt that before you write a recount you always have to use an hook which means an interesting begging used in a recount it is used to capture audiences attention an interests levels. We also learnt that a summary means that is is the last sentence of the recount.

Xtramaths

This is my xtramaths results.I got 2 wrong and 50 right what I need to improve in next time is to get all my results right so that I could move to the next level.

1. What are you most pleased with? Why / why not?

I am pleased with my banana because it is straight and curved.

2. What did you learn from creating your still life painting? I learnt how to blend the colours together so it wouldn’t look like a beach towel.

3. What did you find easy?

I found painting my background easy.

4. What did you find difficult?

I found painting my fruit difficult.

5. Who did helped you with your still life painting?

Miss Paton started me off then I did the rest of the painting.

6. What would you change? why / why not?

I would change my apple and make my fruit a bit bigger.

7. What would you do to improve your still life painting next time? I would make my apple a bit bigger so it could look like a shaped rounded apple.

This is my still life reflection work. I had to answer every question and make sure it make scene before i put it on my blog. Also I had to say who helped me what i am really impressed and what I found difficult.

This is my xtramaths results for today. For today I got 2 wrong and 40 right. What I need to improve in nextime is to not get anything wrong and move to my takeaways.
