As a great start off to Maths, my group started, by completing a number of times table games. Above shows the screenshots of the 7 times tables that I finished. I completed all getting everything correct. This site was very helpful, because it gave us a lot of games to finish based on the 7 times tables. The activity that I enjoyed doing was the mixed up ones, because it gave me the chance to answer all questions in different orders. I think that I need to improve in answering these questions even quicker.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Word War 1 Transport Ship
This week Jayden, Marieta, Pua and I learnt about Life on the Transport Ship for World War 1. Together we all worked collaboratively to find information about the Transport Ship. In World War 1 there was a Transport Ship that took the enlisted people from New Zealand to Egypt ( which was there base ). I learnt that over 550 nurse died at war. It took about 6 weeks for the soldiers to get to Egypt. Each one of us received different roles to do. While Marieta and I were writing the 5 w's and H, Pua and Jayden were finding images and information about the Soldiers. We added the source links for the sites and images we used. Each group was to present their shared DLO's, which showed others that we were gaining our researching skills.
Continents of the World
Did you know that Africa is the second largest continent in the world? As a great start to the morning LS2 have been learning about the continents in the World. There are 7 continents in total, which are Africa, Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Antarctica. Working together helped us build our general knowledge and our collaborative skills. Asia is the largest continent in the world and is also known to be the most popular one. To create the DLO we added interesting facts and images that explained information about the 7 Continents in the World. We worked together, but got different roles to complete this task.

Camp Diary
This week LS2 have been celebrating camp, by completing a number of amazing activities. For this task I was to create a camp diary, but the digital version using google slides. To complete this task we were to write down everything that we wrote for each day. While I was writing my diary I changed some words to make it sound more powerful and interesting. I added great images that showed each day's routines.

Key Competencies - Outside the Box
Since, camp has ended we have been celebrating camp, by completing a number of interesting activities. For one of the activities we were to add information to our outside the box DLO. This DLO included the key competences. Before leaving to camp we worked in groups to find out what we would do before camp had taken place. After camp we added information about how we showed these values at camp. Their were 5 key competences, which were thinking, relating to others, using language, symbols, and text, managing self, and participating and contributing.
Camp Collage
This week LS2 have been celebrating camp. We completed a lot of tasks based on camp. For one of the activities we were to complete a camp collage with the photos taken. Above shows the collage that I created on my own. I used a lot of pictures from each day. The layout that I have chosen was the curved square.

Group Challenge
This week for writing Mrs. Anderson challenged us to write a response that Siri might have said in exactly 50 words. We were to answer, Why is Kokako Lodge a great place to take year 7/8 students on camp? To help us we used our camp diaries, outside the box DLO, LS2 rubric, and our camp photos. As a group, we took part in the learning conversation, by sharing our ideas with each other. To receive points we were to use the selected language features, which were simple, compound, complex sentence, a comma, correct beginning, and end sentence punctuation, an exclamation mark, simile, and brackets. If we used any of these language features we would receive 5 points. Using 50 words gave us 50 points. Extra points were added if we collaborated, communicated, used the LS2 writing rubric, camp photos, camp diaries, outside the box DLO, and if we completed it on time. Altogether our group totaled up to 95 points.
