Word webs-Mr and Ms Fritz.

Today we are learning to find the most important (main) idea in a text. Ruapehu group had to make a word web to find out what kind of words we do not understand. First we had to read a story called Mr and Ms Fritz then write down the word that we do not understand. The thing that was difficult for me was learning the difficult words.  What I need to improve in is to find the definition of the words.

Xtramaths

Today I tried xtramths. I got 49 right and none wrong. the ticks means I need to work a bit faster and the smiley faces means Im good at it. I need to work on the rest of my results so that I could move one to the next level SUBTRACTION. 

Adding Numbers

Today we are learning to add numbers by making tidy numbers. We had to play basic addition facts. We had to learn level 3 with a partner and level 4 by our self. It was a bit hard but I tried to finish it. The thing that was difficult for me was when I had to make a tidy number like numbers that end with zero and numbers  under 90. The thing that I need to improve on is to put some effort in my maths and try a different level.

Studdylader

Today for maths I played studdylader. I had to write the number. Example: For example if it said write the number one thousand and eighty I have to write it in numerals. I got 9 write but the last one I got wrong.

Episode 1# Tom and Vinicius

Today I watched a Video on Episode 1# Tom and Vinicius

Summary

Beginning: There was a  Parade for the people. A man started to drum and yellow stuff started to come out and fly into the sky. When It Flyed in the sky it exploded and out came Vinicius. 

Middle: After that something blue started to surround Vinicius. Vinicius was trying to but it kept going away from him. It ran away and landed on the grass and it turned up to be Tom Vinicius Friend.

End: At the end Tom and Vinicius powers went out of them and they were trying to catch it. Suddenly both of their powers fled up the mountain then Tom and Vinicius climed up in the mountain and bump into each other. Tom and Vinicius started to feel each others faces and high five each each others hands.

Winter learning Journey-Tom and Vinicius: Episode 2#

Summary

Beginning: First Tom and Vinicius was trying to find a place to sleep. Vinicius found a place so he went inside and there was a spider in there. Vinicius accidentally put his hand up and the spider went on his head. So Vinicius jumped out of the wood and tried to find a other place.

Middle: Next Tom was trying to find a place to sleep. He found a place and slept in it. But after Tom has been sleeping in their the owl was there first so Tom ran out of it and the owl start to chase him. Then Vinicius had a little house on him so Tom took it off him and he wanted to put his snake in it.

End: But suddenly Vinicius had a Idea. He needed equipment to build a house for him and Tom. After they had finish building the house they slept in their in the night. It was very itchy for both of them so they couldn't stand it. They both go out of their rooms and Vinicius started to sleep on the tree and Tom didn't know where to sleep.

Winter learning Journey-Sitting in the Crowd

Imagine that you are sitting in the crowd at the opening ceremonies for the Rio Olympics this August. The ceremony has just started and all of the Olympic athletes are parading around the stadium in their uniforms when all of a sudden… The crowd hears the shot and gets a fright. All around the crowd you would always hear people shouting go go. All of the Athletes started running as fast as they could.

Today I've been given a rank to do. For rank 1 I choose the NZ uniform because I really like the style of the women dresses. For the 2nd rank I choose the New Zealand Olympic Team Uniform. I only like the silver fern but I often dont like the black shirts they have designed. And lucky last for rank 3 I choose the NZ Olympic Team Uniform. I don't like the uniform they've designed that much. Next time they should they should not wear the same shirts they should make one for the female and males if they.

Winter Learning Journey- EDDIE THE EAGLE TRAILER

This is my holiday reading challenge. I had to watch a trailer called Eddie the Eagle.

Summary

In the movie a boy called Eddie was trying to be a Olympic champion like the famous person he really liked. One day Eddie joined a skiing club. All Eddie wanted was to be like his famous person. Everybody said Eddie wasn't going to be a Athlete. While Eddie was training his favourite athlete came along and saw him. That morning The famous Athlete and Eddie went to the club and Eddies favorite athlete wanted to see how good he was. So Eddie started to ski down and he fell over and went to Hospital that day. His favorite Athlete went to see him at the hospital. So the next week Eddie got out of the hospital and he was fine. The Athlete said dont ski anymore and Eddie never give up. He trained every day and every week. The Athlete thought he was the best and one day he was chosen in a competition. Eddie skied and he made it. All the crowds were happy and they said he was a Athlete. Eddie really appreciate that his favourite athlete helped him.

Winter learning Journey - Tom and Vinicius Episode 3#

Today I did my holiday reading challenge. At the bottom I will have to right what happened in the video.

Beginning: Tom and Vinicius met 3 little people. The 3 little kids had a camera on them so the little cheeky ones were trying to make Tom and Vinicius fall off the cliff. So she told them to move to the side and they fell of the cliff. They little people were Laughing.

Middle: After Tom and Vinicius had fall off the cliff the little ones started sailing on their boat all they way to the sand. So Tom and Vinicius started sailing after them. Each tree they passed had animal on their boat.

End: As they got to the sand Vinicius pulled the hot air balloon and started flying with tom up the sky. The little ones were Laughing. Then they dropped on the concrete and the 2 little ones put two hats on each of them.

Extra information: All of the little ones started to follow Vinicius and Tom was leading at the back they all all had instruments. As they were walking they walked and saw the starts from a good view. Tom had an idea so he got out a jar and glittering it all around the view they all started dancing.

Each paragraph we have to make summaries in 2 sentences. We had to read the article and answer what is happening, where is the event happening, who is involved, when it is happening, why did the event occur and how did things get started. At the really bottom we had to write the summary after a paragraph.
